Sales Director – DACH Region

Location: Germany / Austria / Switzerland (field and remote - based)

OUR MISSION - Connect the power of molecular imaging to the point of surgery

At XEOS, we are transforming surgical oncology through innovative intraoperative imaging solutions. Founded in Belgium in 2019, we developed the world’s first specimen PET-CT scanner - the AURA 10 PET-CT - empowering surgeons to make more informed decisions during surgery, ultimately improving patient outcomes. We stand for transparency, dedication, agility, and excellence - values that shape our dynamic and collaborative culture. We are a team where great talent doesn’t just grow. It thrives, sparks, and flourishes.

As we continue our expansion across the DACH region, we are looking for a Sales Director who combines strategic depth with hands-on sales execution. Someone who knows how to open doors, create engagement, align stakeholders and close complex capital equipment deals in a challenging healthcare environment. If you are passionate about bringing innovative medical technology to market and enjoy building a business in a fast-growing MedTech environment, we’d love to meet you.

YOUR MISSION - What you’ll achieve

You drive XEOS’s commercial growth across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You are the face of XEOS in this region: someone who knows how to build a market from the ground up, navigate complex hospital environments, and introduce innovative imaging technology into clinical practice. You combine direct sales execution with strategic market development. You understand how hospitals make decisions, how to move the right stakeholders, and how to unlock funding and reimbursement pathways. Working closely with the teams in Belgium and the US, you align on strategy while independently driving execution in your region with a high level of autonomy. By joining our team, you help XEOS bring peace of mind to patients by pushing the limits of imaging precisely where it matters. #WeAreXEOS

YOUR Responsibilities - What you’ll do

  • Drive direct sales of capital equipment to hospitals and healthcare institutions in the DACH region, with full pipeline ownership from prospecting to close
  • Lead complex sales cycles (9–12+ months), navigating clinical decision-makers, hospital finance, and procurement
  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets and revenue quotas, taking personal accountability for deal progression, forecast accuracy, and closing results
  • Own the full sales motion hands-on: run product demonstrations, negotiate contracts, and personally drive deals across the finish line
  • Develop and execute a regional go-to-market and business development strategy, translating XEOS’s value proposition into a concrete, region-specific commercial plan
  • Identify and unlock market access opportunities, understanding reimbursement pathways and local healthcare dynamics
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with KOLs, pioneer sites, surgeons, oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and hospital leadership, including presence in Operating Room
  • Proactively map the DACH healthcare ecosystem: strengthen our presence in the market, leverage your network, and engage the right people at the right time
  • Manage and expand distributor networks where relevant, ensuring alignment with XEOS strategy
  • Represent XEOS at congresses, industry events, and scientific meetings
  • Gather competitive intelligence, market insights and customer feedback, translating them into actionable input for product, marketing and strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with the XEOS team while operating independently in the field
  • Provide clear pipeline reporting and structured feedback to management

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & Experience – What you bring

  • Native or near-native German speaker, ideally based in Germany – deep cultural fluency in the DACH market is essential
  • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) for internal communication and collaboration with Belgium HQ and the US team.
  • 10 years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in high-value capital equipment sales to hospitals or healthcare institutions
  • Demonstrated experience selling disruptive technology – you are a genuine seller who manages complex processes, not someone who takes orders
  • Strong understanding of DACH hospital decision-making: you know who holds the clinical, financial, and procurement authority and how to move them
  • Experience with market access and reimbursement pathways in the DACH healthcare system
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build a market plan and execute it independently
  • Networker by nature: you know the relevant associations, have relationships in the field, and know who-knows-who
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the DACH region, with regular visits to XEOS headquarters in Belgium
  • Strong background in imaging technologies, nuclear medicine, or surgical oncology is a significant advantage
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience

YOUR Personality & mindset – Who you are
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven. You take ownership and make things happen
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, “feet on the street” mentality. You can zoom out to see the market, then zoom in to close the deal
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented
  • Strong relationship builder and natural networker
  • Persuasive communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • A real seller, energized by navigating long and complex sales cycles
  • Comfortable introducing new technology into challenging healthcare environments
  • Agile and adaptable in a fast-moving MedTech scale-up environment
  • Team player who aligns with internal stakeholders while operating independently
  • Energized by building and growing a market from the ground up
  • Value transparency, agility, excellence, and dedication in everything we do

NICE TO HAVE – What we love
  • Experience in imaging technologies, nuclear medicine, surgical oncology, or MedTech capital equipment
  • Existing relationships with KOLs, university hospitals, or leading cancer centers in the DACH region
  • Experience working with distributors or indirect sales channels
  • Understanding of reimbursement and funding pathways within the DACH healthcare landscape
  • Interest in innovation, digital health and new technologies
  • Knowledge of Dutch

OUR commitment TO YOU – What we offer

  • The opportunity to build and grow XEOS’s commercial presence in the DACH region with a high level of autonomy and direct impact
  • Close involvement in strategy and decision-making
  • Competitive salary package with an attractive variable compensation structure
  • A growing MedTech environment where initiative, ownership, and entrepreneurship are valued
  • Collaboration with a dedicated and experienced team in Belgium and the US
  • A transparent, hands-on company culture with short communication lines and real ownership
  • The opportunity to shape the future of intraoperative imaging and improve outcomes for cancer patients
