Software Engineer

YOUR MISSION
You will be part of a dynamic and agile R&D team that drives our software development.
We are looking for a software engineer to help us further develop our product. You will implement additional features, improve the user experience and expand our expertise to meet customer needs.


YOUR ROLE
The main purpose
As part of our highly skilled software team, you will be responsible for:

• Software development of our product’s user interface
• End-to-end design, from functional and technical analysis, to development, testing and deployment of your newly implemented features

YOUR RESPONABILITIES
The things you do

• Work together with your R&D, clinical and sales colleagues to define the user experience of our product
• Work in a small scrum team and apply all best practices in an agile wayµImplement new features for the user interface
• Expand your skills in new/unknown technologies by following additional trainings and seminars
• Brainstorm about finding innovative solutions to clinical problems
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers
• Report on the R&D software development
• Work with the following technologies: Git, bash, WebSockets, Docker, Python, modern C++, Qt/QML, CMake

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
The things you can or have

• Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering Technology in ICT or comparable through experience
• Familiar with a Linux environment
• Knowledge of C++ through education, experience, or personal interest
• Basic understanding of today’s best practices in software development (i.e. version control, test-driven development, continuous integration, code reviews …)
• Passion for software development
• Eager to work on the user’s experience in a medical device
• Fluent in English (speaking and writing)

NICE TO HAVES

• Ideally a notion of Qt/QML or other UI programming languages
• Knowledge of IEC 62304 Medical Device software standard is a plus
• Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
• Experience in or a passion for the medical sector
