Electronics Hardware Engineer

Location : Ghent, Belgium


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, documentation and verification of electronics in a medical system comprising of high-end detectors, microcontrollers and communication interfaces
  • Hardware testing and troubleshooting, including board bring-up, design of test tooling and adaptation of existing circuit boards to new specifications
  • Documentation of the design and testing activities in accordance to medical device regulations
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of electronics, software, and biomedical engineers and our regulatory department

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Master of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or similar through experience
  • An enthusiastic engineer with a passion for electronics and medical devices
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools. (Altium is a plus.)
  • Experience with electronics measuring equipment (oscilloscope / signal generator / spectrum analyzer / …)
  • Knowledge of product certification (EMC/Safety) is a plus but not essential
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
